On Saturday, June 25th, Guidance Counselors and Teachers from NYC Middle Schools were able to interact with CTE high schools and industry vendors to become more informed about the CTE experience. The Guidance Counselors and Teachers participated in workshops and a panel discussion facilitated by the NYC Department of Education Career and Technical Education Division and led by Industry professionals and Transit Tech principal, Marlon Bynum. The event was held in conjunction with the NYU Smart Cities Program, which Transit Tech and Edison High School students displayed robotics and green technology projects. Also in attendance and participating were  John Widlund (Director of NYCCTE), Sterling Roberson (Vice President of UFT CTE), Patrick Smith (Senior Director of Human Resources MTA) and Jack Powers (Director of IN3.0rg).
