Transit Tech CTE High School has many industry partners that provide career opportunities for our students. The Building Trades Educational Benefit Fund has articulated a career and technical education to benefit the students. Graduating students who receive their technical endorsement in the Transit Industrial Electrician program are eligible for employment and apprentice training with many of the electrical contracting corporations associated with the fund. These students also qualify for the New York City Transit Authority’s Electrical Helper Education and Experience Test and are eligible for direct entry into the NYC Transit 36 month apprenticeship program. Construction Skills pre-apprentice participants who have successfully completed the program have preferred access to Trade Unions affiliated with Construction Skills.
