Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)

We will use the Triple A/Three Reads strategy to improve students:

• Performance mastery of equations, functions, and problem-solving, while directly addressing gaps in constructed responses, reasoning with and graphing inequalities, systems of equations, and cumulative skill application in math.
• Understanding of key concepts in modeling and open-response tasks to promote deeper conceptual understanding and improve performance compared to citywide benchmarks in science.

Humanities 

The Humanities Department ensures that regular practice in strategic and close critical reading, grammatical study, writing assignments, and project-based assessments—including common state assessments—prepares students to meet the challenges of a rigorous high school English and Social Studies curriculum. We also provide multiple opportunities for students to explore historical concepts in a variety of contexts. This preparation is a key part of our commitment to students’ academic progression.
